The wedding of Renee and Jeremy at Munster, Indiana.
I had an awesome time photographing their engagement session last summer so I knew their wedding would rock! Renee was really excited for her wedding day and was really eager to see Jeremy for the first time inside the church. Their was a lot of laughter and tears at the ceremony. The reception at Wicker Park was amazing! There were so many of her friends dancing and having a grand ol time. Renee’s dad is an awesome artist because he drew character sketches of the whole wedding party! What a guy. Someone even had a surprise birthday cake presented to them. To top it off, they even had Devo hats and played the song “Whip It,” from Devo! I loved it!!

Michelle and John had a splendid wedding at St. Phillip the Apostle Church. They had a fun exit with the bubbles and a hoot of a time on the trolley. The day was overcast and we had some slight sprinkles. However, when it came to taking their photos outside, I think Moses parted the skies for Michelle and John for them to enjoy the warm weather.

Today, I was approved for membership into the Model Mayhem web group. It’ an internet site dedicated to networking photographers, models, make up artists, stylists and may other artists. This makes is easier for artistis to collabarate with each other on any projects they have. My personal project this summer, is to focus on Bridal Fashion photography during the week day. This will give me the artistic freedom to try poses and locations at varios Chicago areas. In essence, I am perfecting my craft on models so when the wedding day comes along, I can try new things that clients usually don’t see with other wedding photographers.

After years of silence on Facebook I have uploaded new images and contacted old friends. You can follow me on Facebook by typing in David Bracho in the search engine.

In the summer of 2007 I visited Spain for 3 weeks. I did not do much in the way of displaying my photos on my News web-site. I am going to take the oppurtunity to make commentary with the photos and share my experiences on this little adventure. Spain is a wonderful country with warm people and great hospitality. I do recommend learning a little Spanish before going to Spain. Lucky for me, I lived in Venezuela for 8 years so I was good to go.
This will be a 16 part posting of my trip to Spain.
Locals cross the street in the Puerta de Sol. Several major streets cross in this busy and famous square. On any given day, you may see protests at this square.

These masts you see overhead are used to create shade for tourists and shoppers during the long hot days of summer. It was a great idea that I even enjoyed during the day.

This is my Tia Kandy who was my tour guide for my first week in Madrid. She was most helpful.

This is one of my past engagement sessions from this late fall, right before the weather became foul.

Believe it or not, this photo was taken in front of the old Playboy mansion at 1340 N. State St.

Wow, I am not very good at blogging. That is one of my New Year’s resolutions for this year.
1. Get back in shape. I joined the gym last year and “sort” of went once in a while. Now, I am resolving to go more regularly. So far, I have been going to the gym 4 out of 7 days of the week. I am hoping to go the distance. I do a variety of exercise from Cardio and weight lifting to group classes. I love doing the abb classes the LVAC offers called Hard Core which, as the name mentions, focus on the core strength of the body. I have also started doing Pilates and that certainly has been working my abbs and butt a lot.

2. Read more. I have a stack of books on my bookshelf ranging from Lord of the Rings to The Adventures of Huck Finn that I have been meaning to read.
3. Be a more consistent blogger.
4. Travel more, like maybe a trip to Spain or England.
This is a photo of the National Cathedral in Madrid, Spain. I hope to come back and explore Europe and Spain more.

I met Ralph in the spring time and he along with Jackie expressed the utmost interest and excitement in having photos taken on Lakeshore. Everyday this couples gets up before the sun rises to get some exercise and spend most of their runnning or biking time on Lakeshore. They knew their would not be enough time to get the Lakeshore photos on their wedding day. And two, they wanted their photos taken at 6:30 a.m. to get the brilliant sun in the morning that they always wake up to.
